I gave two talks at the BarCamp Munich, last weekend (actually I was there only on Saturday). First and foremost I have to thank the people who have organized the BarCamp, it was great! I liked especially that there were enough tracks in parallel to choose a session from. I didn’t know how much tech stuff people would want to hear, but it seems there had been enough techies. Good for me, because that made me able to give two sessions.
The first was Efficient JavaScript Development, the room was quite packed, but it was also quite small, about 20 people maybe, or a bit less. I was pretty nervous, since I didn’t know what topics people would be most interested in, and I made the mistake of trying to have the audience lead me, I guess that doesn’t work when the people expect you to be the speaker :-). Well I managed, I guess.
The slides are here:
The second talk I gave, was a short introduction about dojo. When I was preparing the slides for putting them online, I realized that they cut a lot of corners and don’t really suite a “introduction to dojo” talk too well, but I guess I got the message across. Since it was the talk right after my first one, I was on a roll.
Thanks very much to the audience for asking good questions, fortunately I was able to answer most of them, I guess the cometd internals was one thing I didn’t know too much to say about. But I am on it :-), stay tuned I will (hopefully) get to writing a more in depth post about the BarCamp and will look up links that I had mentioned but not provided.

Glad you put your slides online. My blog entry about your first session will follow within the next days. Unfortunately I couldn’t join your dojo presentation. I hope you had a nice Sunday; I had a little trouble getting up in the morning ;O)

Hey I missed your presentations last Saturday ( because of a last-minute decision for other sessions.. something I regretted.. :( ) and I was *so* glad when I found out that there is another chance for me to attend them during this week (someday, somewhere :-) )
