Last Monday, 29/05/2009, I’ve got the opportunity to give an “Introduction to Dojo” talk at the WebMontag in Augsburg. Because I was the only one doing a presentation I thought to use the whole available hour talking about Dojo. About 15 people attended even though the sun was shining outside. Thanks to everyone for sitting in a room without daylight and listening to a geek talking about JavaScript :-)
The talk was about common browser gaps (in regards to JavaScript) and how the Dojo Toolkit solves these issues for a frontend engineer and ended with a show-off of awesome applications that were created with Dojo (e.g. AOL Mail, Bespin, MapQuest, Plaxo).
Thanks to Dylan Schiemann for some of the slides and thanks to Weka for organizing this WebMontag in Augsburg. It was a really nice small event with interesting people and hopefully there will be more attendees next time.
